Default Oliver Stone's W. and a DTS-HD MA 7.1 Audio anomaly

W. is one BD release that you don't want to miss even if you weren't so fond of the 43rd President or aren't so fond of Oliver Stone's films (and two time Academy Award recipient for Best Director)

The video and audio in this Lionsgate release are both superb 5.0 (5/5). The lossless 7.1 audio has one anomaly. It isn't a problem actually but it might cause some to say, like me, what the heck is going on here.

On the BD case it says the audio is DTS-HD MA 7.1. Right after you start the movie from the BD menu, a dazzling short DTS-HD Master Audio clip plays and my AVR shows 7.1 channels input. After that finishes and during the rest of the movie my AVR shows only 5.1 channels input. I could definitely hear the back surrounds so I know for a fact that the audio is 7.1 surround. My BD player output displays DTS-HD Master Audio 5/2.1 48kHz which is unusual. Usually all my 7.1 BDs are displayed as DTS-HD Master Audio 3/4.1 48kHz like on Lionsgate's Forbidden Kingdom.

Thus I guess my AVR interpretes 5/2.1 48kHz as 5.1 48kHz and displays only 5.1 channels input. My receiver does display 7.1 channels input whenever the player displays the usual 4/3.1 48kHz. Again no problem because all 7.1 channels are heard. So it's just a little anomaly I suppose.
