Basically you press and hold the Volume
Down button ON the TV itself and then press the info button on the remote. This will bring up the service menu. What you are looking for is the VSUS setting and you will want to switch it to "high." This should eliminate the pink blob on your TV. It worked great on mine. Just be sure you save the setting change before you exit the menu or it will default back to the original setting. I think you use the numerical "1" and "2" buttons on the remote to navigate the menu.
