I don't want it to shake I guess, but I do want to "feel" it. I guess since I can't feel it, I can't really hear it. If I unhook the sub, it sounds pretty much the exact same as when it is plugged in. For an explosion, I want to feel like I am there feeling the explosion.

As for settings, I don't have any set ones...I played around with them a lot to find something I liked...however, I do know I have it at 80 hz, and everythign else is like a 1/4 up.

Receiver settings-I haven't done anything besides the quick set up which just turned the sub on.

So, with the glass door, I'm thinking maybe the best spot is in the extra area by the fireplace. I am going to end up moving it around a lot to find the best spot, but I sorta didnt' want to have to buy a 75 foot cable if I didn't have to. I also thought about placing the sub on a stand to get rid of the cement issue, that may help.
