I was all set to get the Pioneer when I heard about their plans to end production of displays and players. I have gone through two players (Samsung 1200 and Phillips 7200) where the comanies have not supported their product very well with firmware updates.

Do you guys think that Pioneer is going to support their players or will these machines become orphans?
