I bet the price is pretty close to bottom, as the new models will be coming out soon. $2400 for a 58" 800U is amazing. I paid $2K for my 720p TH-58PE75U last spring because that price was tough to beat for a 'big' plasma. I've heard rumors that the new 58" models with 96Hz refresh rates will be priced at the $2400 mark, but have not seen anything definitive yet. What series are you talking about when you say (new) 58inch model?
I thought it was a 54 incher that was getting all the press.
