Ok, I know there a dozens of threads about the PS3 here ... what I would like to know is :

The PS3 is comparatively cheap. Costs half of what some stand-alone players cost.

Is there any reason to buy a stand-alone player? Except for being sturdier built and having a few more connections on the back, why pay twice for a stand-alone player? Also, via updates, the PS3 is supposed to be able to do the "past Oct 31st stuff" ...

With the PS3 I got all audio formats including TrueHD, dts-hd, right?

What am I missing?
