I would certainly make sure the t.v. stand is still sturdy after removing that shelf though! It may "twist" more if that shelf is removed


Depending on when you're getting a new home, you may want to just deal with it "as is" rather than go through the motions for a marginal improvement.....

Thanks, I'm not sure how the shelf will react, but I know the center speaker has adjustable screws built into it to change the firing angle.
