Would you like some popcorn with that anamporphic version?
I concur with the notion that Extras should only be included if it doesn't cost PQ or SQ. If it does, it can be solved by putting the extras on a second disc, as was also suggested. Of course the film industry's number 1 objective is to continue to thrive and grow and one of the Extras, "Trailers", are more likely to be watched if on the same disc than if placed on an additional disc. More and more on DVDs, the trailers come up even before the movie menu.
One bonus quality I'd like to see more of is a second side of the disc with the movie in anamorphic mode. I don't have it yet, but one day I'd love to put together a theater with a front projector, anamorphic lens, and 2.40:1 screen with vertical masking. Then I could watch the movie as big and bad as it was intended to be. In the words of Flavo Flav, "Yeaaaahhhhhh boooiiiiyyyyyy!!"
