CNN 720P some 1080p programing. And I doubt they will ever catch up. It's costs money for these corporations to retool. And as far as there concerned what there broadcasting in is good enough for the average viewer. As far as I'm concerned these guys can come out with 24K and it doesn't mean a thing ,they are cutting off there nose to spite there face.Another words it's going to bite them in the ass at some point.

Native 1080P/24 and 4K pay per view (on demand) movies exists on Direct TV satellite, but so far most cable TV companies use 1080i instead of 1080P. Only some cable TV companies offer on demand movies in 1080P and 4K.
Also CNN channels are native 1080i unless your cable company downscales the channel to 720P quality. Fox news channel is native 720P.
