Oh right, I think I follow you: So basically you need to reach 25k before you can be eligible for entry in the top 250 and then because this film has a really high average score (because it's ****ing awesome) that means it just shot into the top 25?
I just assumed the IMDB rankings were figured out solely on the basis of some form of ratio between the total number of votes vs the scores themselves rather than having thresholds that have to be met first before that ratio is taken into account.
