I can't really say much about the Studio 20's but The Monitor 7's sound very nice.
The Studio 20s would probably be the better upgrade since many owners claim the Studios sound much nicer than the Monitor Series. I would check them both out if your dealer has them both in store. I didn't have a choice since my dealer doesn't keep Studios in store - only available for special order.
Are you changing your center channel as well? I've heard the IQ7's that go with your center and they are a bit cheaper than the Paradigms and sound real good too. I would stick to those unless you're gonna eventually switch out that center. The CC-290 and CC-390 are awesome speakers.
I've had my Paradigms for almost 2 months now and am VERY happy with them. I love them for movies and music - For 2ch Music the Monitor 11's just fill up the whole room and really puts you in the middle of it all. The CC-390 is perfect for movies - matched up with with the Monitor 11's it just seems like my whole front wall is the movie. The ADP-390's also make the movies feel so real - with my older Klipsch surrounds for rears I could hear the sound right from them but these ADP's just mix in so well that I can't tell where the sound is really coming from - it just blends in nicely with everything!!
So like others have mentioned already - With the Monitor Series Speakers you really get a lot more than what you pay for. There are a lot of different speakers that probably sound a whole lot better but they are gonna cost you a lot more too so I agree with Twitch9 -
To me these were the best speakers for the price comparing to all other speakers that I've heard in the same price range. That's just me though - others may feel different and have probably heard a lot more speakers than I've been able to listen to.
