at which they discussed how HDR can accentuate the inherent digital noise of film scanners when scanning film….and possible remedies to mitigate it. In other words, some of those mosquitos people may be seeing in their favorite old movies on home deliverables may not only be attributable to grain (good), but also film scanner noise (bad, as in completely needless).
