My guess is it's a computer issue. I've got a semi-modern, but not top of the line by any stretch, Dell SX260 with a 2.4GHz P4 and only 512MB RAM. My Netflix plays perfectly on my minimal DSL connection (384Kbps - 1.5Mbps). If you're on cable internet, that should be no problem at all, as you're probably up in the 3.0Mbps+ range.
