I was surprised that there was no thread for this excellent documentary, so decided to make one.. Maiden tells an incredible story of the first all-female crew to sail in the Whitbread Round the World Race, one of the hardest and most grueling races ever. I knew nothing about this before watching the documentary, and I found it to be a genuinely inspiring story, that made me quite emotional by the end of it. The story actually seems too good to be true at times, feeling more like something out of a Hollywood studio, than real life. I found the whole thing completely absorbing, and time just seemed to fly by when watching it. So yeah, I highly recommend checking it out. In addition to the Sony Blu-ray, it's also streaming on Starz's channel (which is where I watched it), and available to rent online.
