the first part of the question I'm confused about. You want to watch satellite and have the computer hooked up at the same time?...or use both simultaneously? If your just looking to hook up a computer, you first of all need to access what your video card output plugs look like. Chances are if you have a newer computer, you may have at least a DVI output. If so, you could then go with a cable that is DVI to HDMI, then running into your tv. You could also just get a DVI to HDMI adaptor if you already have an HDMI cable laying around. Otherwise there is S-video and component video, but the best will be from my previously mentioned. If these suggestions don't work for you, it wouldn't be a bad idea to do some upgrading for your computer. You could get a tv card for your PC, and then input the video signal from your satellite box into your PC, and then run the PC to your tv. Most Home Theater Personnal Computers, or HTPC now operate as a DVR, or Digital Video Recorder device. If you can get more specific, I can do the same.
