I have the German HD DVD whitch should have the same PQ as the BD (but maby the BD have better AQ). I would say the movie has quite good PQ with quite good detail and grain (means no DNR). If I remember correct only the little bleak colors shows that it is not a new title. Go for it if you liked the movie!
