Default 25 ft Power Cable

I am in the middle of re-setting up my theater and just built an in wall rack for all my components. The potential problem is my TV and subwoofer now need new power cables of about 25 feet to run through the wall/along the wall and then back up to the top of the power conditioner in the rack.

Is there a "problem" with running a cable this long for two components like the TV and subwoofer. I could plug them into a near by outlet with the regular cords but they would not be on any surge protection/line conditioning. I am looking at a 14AWG power cable replacement from Monoprice and fingered the thickness would be good enough for that long a run, but just wanted to get some opinions on safety of equipment and any drawbacks to usage of equipment.

Thanks
