The question is, why weren't we better prepared the first time? We knew about this virus long before it hit the U.S. and it should have been pretty obvious that it was only a matter of time before it does hit us. Everyone was just sitting back and laughing about what China was going through without even thinking of the remote possibility that it will reach the U.S. And lo and behold, it did!
Back in January, all of my colleagues at work were like, "Ah, more people die of the flu. The Coronavirus is nothing!" Now I can't wait to punch them in the face the next time I see them.
