i've had a couple, and they're not worth the bother. Too long winded to go into the various problems. What I did in the end was buy some short extension leads with HDMI sockets on one end, and use that to change the wiring configuration depending on if I'm using the surround sound or not. Had no problems doing it this way, and it saved me having to reach around the backs of everything, and risk damaging the units by pulling cables out repeatedly.
