Hey everyone, I was just wondering if, when watching a Blu Ray movie on my PS3 with component cables, the video is at all compromised?

My TV doesn't have HDMI inputs, but it has component, so I plan to plug in my PS3 with that. However, I was reading that if you watch Blu Ray on anything other than HDMI or DVI, the video gets scaled back pretty terribly for some crappy copyright protection reasons. Is there any truth to this?

I'd hate to have just spent $700 on a PS3 plus cables and not be able to watch Blu Ray movies in all their sexy glory, just because my parents bought a TV like a year before HDMI became widespread.
