It was never going to be the same year as the PS5, it would be a awful move expecting people to pay that much money for both. I fully expect the next gen PSVR To launch in 2022. I think that year makes sense.
I much prefer the updated PSVR headset. There is more freedom with the wires as they connect directly to the processor box rather than the two part connection of the older one.
