Some games look great in PSVR, but Xing on a regular PS4, has lots of jagged edges. As far as the screen filter across the image, it's mostly noticeable for the blu ray 3D movies IMO. Or during bright scenes in a game, though with higher res games, it's less noticeable.
But yeah, if 1080p per eye could do it, good, but I really think 4K is the key, since the PSVR is using a magnifying glass to zoom into the screen itself, where we can see the pixels. 4K, even that I can see pixels on it when looking at any 4KTV. So it'll be interesting.
