Contacted Best Buy support online, and after the chat crashing multiple times, they eventually insisted my only option was to physically walk into a store with it to do an exchange. Asked them if the store near me had any stock, they said nope, but there's one 30 miles from you that does.
So i guess I'm driving 60 miles tomorrow to exchange this. (And will be physically inspecting the replacement before I leave the store.)
I've done at least a dozen similar exchanges with Amazon, and they've all been completely drama-free. This has...not been ideal.
