The only "loss" WB is currently experiencing is the interest expense on the production by delaying the movie (along with any previous marketing expenses). The interest expense is shared with the other production partners:
Atlas Entertainment
DC Comics
DC Entertainment
The Stone Quarry
Once the movie hits theaters, that's when the "accounting clock" starts and that's when either profits or losses begin. Marketing expenses (and interest carry expenses) are written off as a cost of doing business.
