I missed this article when it first came out but I was flipping through an older issue of mine from February 2, 2009 and chanced upon it. It talks about the need for high-bitrate video encodes for the best picture quality from HD formats, particularly Blu-ray. The poor quality of downloads in comparison are discussed and the recommendation is that 25 Mbps for the video encode is a good starting point.
