I would say they are very close, with a slight edge to the G10. I have not had the privilege of comparing them side by side (since the 5010 is a 2007-8 display).
The 5010 (8G) has a 0.004fL black level & is a wonderful display, & was the best till the 9G Kuro was released, with a black level below 0.000fL (95%+) to 0.001fL , sick). Amazon has the KRP-500M for $1,999 . BB has the 5020 for $1,999. It's a buyers market.
