What?! Since when have Google Play digital copies been region locked? They just aren't redeemable outside of the country they come from. Once they're redeemed, they're supposed to be accessible anywhere globally as I understand it.

From the above Google support page:-
You can only redeem your promotional code within the country that you bought your DVD or Blu-ray. If you’re travelling and you bought a DVD or Blu-ray with a digital copy, make sure that you redeem the digital copy before you leave that country.
It doesn't say anywhere that it won't play outside said country once redeemed. If that was the case, surely Google would mention that on their support page? But it does advise to redeem it in said country, thereby implying that it will work elsewhere once redeemed...
