Hello!
I have a nice shiny Acer Aspire 8920g that works great in all areas except one....blu-ray.
I tried a few blu-ray discs for the first time the other day only to be met with the message ''Insert a disc - please insert a disc into drive G:''
Now I have the latest acer arcade deluxe version and even tried Powerdvd 8, which both give me similar messages. The drive in question is an Optiarc BD ROM BC-5500A ATA device that is currently ''working properly'' with the most up-to-date driver I can find. The drive plays CD/DVDs absolutely fine and I'm now lost as i'll have to send the whole laptop back to acer who will delight in charging me money if its a software problem
So any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
If it helps, the driver version of the disc drive is 6.0.6001.18000
