If you are going to get a Samsung LED LCD then go with this,
55" A950 model LCD, they are on sale at Vanns.com and are still the best LED LCD Samsung has available. Local dimming will beat out the Edge-lit designs everyday and it is the first LCD that I saw up next to a Pioneer and was like.. WOW. I couldn't belive how close the blacks, color, contrast and everything was.
