I particularly hate the Scotty "I bet that Klingon b**** killed her father" in the added torpedo count scene. It goes against the
Final Frontier cheerful Scotty "I can't believe I'm drinking with a Klingon!" and at the recent banquet "Perhaps we're seeing some of that future here". It's just too dark a line for him and out of character as portrayed by James Doohan. At least to me anyway.

I always took it as Soran wanting to know just how much the Enterprise crew knew about his plans. But I'm glad they cut the rest of that particular scene, it wasn't needed.
