I'm not sure about bang for the buck, but I definitely think they're great speakers. The 7006 is the "lowest end" of the supertowers, but with all the supertowers you're getting great lower-end extension. They can truly be run full-bandwidth without a crossover with no worries. Also, if you like that bipolar sound- they have that in spades.
I think BigDaddy has a higher model of the supertowers, but he loves them. I've listened to them quite a bit (at Magnolia BB and other stores) and I think they're awesome. I currently run the BP6's, which are the smallest of the bipolar towers- they have no sub.
If it were MY money, I'd be getting some Def Tech Supertowers. I personally love them. However... it's your money, not mine. At that price range, I suggest you try and listen to other brands. Monitor Audio, Paradigm, and many others should be available in speciality shops for you to listen to.
