In their report, Legendary Entertainment is said to be filming this next installment in the MonsterVerse franchise on the Gold Coast, Queensland in Australia, and will be employing hundreds of Australian cast, crew, and extras. Additionally, the sequel is expected to inject nearly $120 million into the Australian economy, greatly benefiting local businesses. Eric McLeod, an executive producer for Kong: Skull Island (2017) and producer of Godzilla vs. Kong (2021), said the team was “excited to be returning to Queensland” for production of the movie. No filming dates have been announced at this time.
