I got the impression of that look from the trailer that FM put out, and figured since no one raised an issue, that perhaps that was the intended look. It definitely appears to be the usual gamma imbalance you find with some releases (often Asian films from what I've noticed). On the other hand, the Taiwana BD looks a little too harsh in terms of contrast. Film Movement releases have had poor compression and encoding in the past unfortunatel. It's probably best to reach out to Film Movement and see what they say.
