Option 2) Emotiva UMC-1 pre/pro and UPA-7.

It would be driving a Paradigm Studio 7.1 configuration (Front:Studio 60, Center:CC-690, Side:ADP-590, Rears: Studio 20)

Any recommendations are appreciated.

I can see that you have invested a good deal of money on your speaker system...I am a huge Paradigm fan myself. I'm just curious as to why you are limiting yourself to such a small number of power and AVR options ?

I would go with the mid level Yamaha that has pre-outs. Then shop around for a good 5 channel amp...

As for Emotiva, I have never heard one, but am super curious as to their performance. All I know is that they get little respect in the Hifi Community.....which must mean something..

What's your budget for amps?
