I imagine fire and other contraptions like a giant log or spikes will play a part along with bows and arrows. I mean, earth remained their hunting and proving grounds for years for a reason. Maybe they realized that humans are smart enough even though their weapons are primitive by comparison. Remember, they used to bring Xenomorphs with them and only use humans as incubators. Somewhere along the way that changed and humans became the prey instead.

I always took the original as kind of a sly commentary on the whole action genre. Like here are these insanely musclebound guys packing the most sophisticated heavy artillery imaginable and they’re basically impotent in the face of a single enemy. In the end, you can win, just survive, and to do it, Arnold has to become a force as primal as the jungle.
