"The Best" would most certainly be an HD CRT. The hardest of the hardcore enthusiast rock those bad boys. Then there's the projector crowd, but I'm not sure of the quality compared to quality Plasma and CRT.
Next up would be Plasma, which would mean a Kuro.
After that, the top LCD's from Samsung, Sony and Toshiba. (maybe the most expensive Sharp and LG's)
A lot of people swear by DLP, but its pretty much a dead technology at this point (same with HD CRT. Just too damned heavy)
