I bought mine for $1998.95 at Fry's. Best LCD I ever had. Rivals the LED 46 inch Samsung it was display next to it and at the time for $500 cheaper with larger screen, this won me.
There will always be a better LCD/Plasma out there, and everybody will have their own preferences, but get one that suits your budget and convenience. In general Plasma will always have(for now) better picture quality than LCDs, but I choose this because it suits my needs.
