A non-spoliery answer is not really although it's hardly traditional in concept. I'd go as far as if you want a show that explains everything I don't think it was ever the intention to do so.
It posed many questions and things became more blurred as the second season went on (in a good way) and the final posed more questions than answers but maybe that was the intention.
Sad to see it's cancelled as it can be seen to continue Scott's fascination with artificial life in Prometheus & Alien Covenant and creation in general.
It's definitely worth a watch.
