All the Godzilla & King Kong movies from the 60's onward had no problem with massively scaled animals in the 2.39 ratio. Not to mention now we know dinosaurs like Tyrannosaurus did not walk upright with their tails dragging. They're longer than taller - perfect for the widescreen frame. The raptors are roughly human height as well so there isn't a problem there either - and a lot of the dramatic confrontations between man vs. beast in these films were between people & raptors. JW:LK looks great. These are BIG SCREEN films. Not TV movies.

Don't get me wrong, I love the look of Fallen Kingdom (especially once in the household).
I just like to think Speilberg's choice of framing was very intentional and well thought out.
