It's kind of intriguing that they would even consider fixing the scene in the special longer version where Kirk exits the ship and you can see the scaffolding and the Sound Stage. So they would bother to fix that by doing CGI for the rest of the hull but they wouldn't alter the space suit to match what he's wearing a couple of minutes later? Why fix one if you're not going to fix both? And I don't have any faith that they would be able to superimpose the new space suit over the old one because they couldn't even handle changing the windows in the background in the officers Lounge scene.

I'd say seeing the scaffolding and woodwork around the set is far more distracting and "takes you out of the movie" than the change of suit.
