South Korea was highly influential in spreading native 3D technology throughout Asia during it's brief boom post-Avatar, notably in training Tsui Hark's staff for 3D production on Flying Swords of Dragon Gate. Mr. Go (2013) is the one available, fantastic 3D movie from Korea, and it's disappointing we are unable to watch KAFA's native 3D productions and KOFA's Silver Age 3D holdings. I agree that Korean conversions aren't much to speak of (neither are Chinese conversions). We are about to watch one,
Dawn of the Dead (1978), in limited U.S. theaters at the end of October though. Ultimately, their film industry was unable to sustain the increased production costs associated with 3D long term, but I guarantee there are several unseen native 3D gems out there waiting to be snapped up by some indie boutique Blu-ray label.
