They'll announce to loyal Assassin's Creed fans (which has often been primarily focused on single player offline stories and adventures) that Assassin's Creed is a multiplayer online required experience for everyone to enjoy. I'll pass if so.

I've been a slight fan of the AC series, and rented AC1, AC2, bought AC3 on sale, along with a sale of Black Flag and Syndicate. AC Odyssey was interesting. I like the Historical mode. They're okay games but are held back by too much hand holding game play in my opinion.

Syndicate was my favorite of them all since you got the grappling hook like Batman but can zipline to other buildings. That was fun. The city was very generic though, with every street looking almost the same. Good controls but again, no ability to jump, and the character does all the hard work for the player automatically when you push up on the controller.

I'd be shocked if they made this game have an offline mode. I think Ubisoft is in a bit of trouble lately.
You didn't play Origins? That was one of my favorite AC games in years. I really loved the upgrade system. By the time you're done with the story and cleaning up trophies and side quests you no joke felt like a God because the enemies don't level with you.
