Since the pandemic shortened theatrical windows, they've gone back to the old model from the 90s and before, charging more for a movie on home video for the first few months. This'll go down in a couple of months.

Based on what I've read, I suspect they analyzed the theatrical audience for the film and decided it was mostly people who wouldn't be buying UHDs. They wouldn't leave money on the table if they thought they could sell enough discs, but UHDs cost more to replicate, so they need to decide which titles to do them for. I'm not making a value judgment about the film, just saying I suspect that was their thinking.
