Well I disconnected the HDMI cable and changed the blu ray player back to Off for HDMI and its looks all nice again sitting on 1080i. I then reconnected the HDMI cable and changed the HDMI setting on the Blu ray again and once again the picture went

It seems as soon as we change the HdMI setting on the blu ray you can see the picture turn crappy straight away, we can even tell how crappy it goes by the look of the pop up box menu!
Think we might have to take back the cable, they tried to talk us into buying a monster cable but we did not really want to spend $260,so we went for the philips. I bet they try to tell us the picture is crap because we did not buy the monster cables!
Any suggestions as to which cable to go for?
