Default Need help building my HT

Hi,

P.S the pricing of my equipment is in canadian money

I'll be finishing my basement soon and I'm making a room for my HT which consist in a Pioneer Receiver VSX-9130 TXH-K With(THX select 2, 130W per channel 499$). My speaker are the C-Series of Energy bought at the price of 1100$)

2x C-500 front Speakers
1x S10.3 Subwoofer
1x C-C 100 Center
4x C-100 Surrounds

The only thing I don't have yet but will be my next pruchase is a Plasma TV, probably a 58inch Panny.

Now to my questions, my room will be 14.5 foot by 14.5 foot, I will make a false floor to have a better sound comapred that is I would be directly on the cement.

Q.1 What kind of floor should I put on my false floor?? Carpet, laminated, Vinyl???

Q.2 Ive seen somewhere that speakers(surrounds) sholdn't be place too close of the wall. Is this true if Yes How can I place my surrounds if they are bookshelf speakers??

Q.3 Is there a good, best way tom place your speakers in a room to have the best sound possible, if so can someone tell me how I should place mine given that I have writen how big my room is.

Thanks alot in advance for your answers
