Still no news yet of a UK TV start date for
Grantchester's eighth series. However, when I checked EpGuides this week, I discovered that it has been made available in the States (however, it doesn't state on the EpGuides page for the show which TV or streaming channel the show is shown/made available on in the States (a date of Sunday, July 9th is stated).
Haven't been able to look at the news article yet, as Geektown's website (they post news about UK TV start dates for TV shows from various countries) can cause browsers to slow down (similar to the problem which one UK TV Shows thread on this forum used to have with YouTube videos), but apparently a ninth series of the show is already in production (I thought that only an eighth series had been ordered later on last year, and that they hadn't thought beyond an eighth series).
