need help with hard drive replacement...
My old 60gb PS3 went out on me so I purchased a new 80gb Killzone 2/MGS4 bundle.
I saved my 60gb hard drive because it had all of my saves. My plan was to replace the 80gb hard drive in the new system with my old 60gb hard drive, back everything up with my thumb drive, replace that hard drive with my new 500gb western digital hard drive that I ordered, and then put all my saves back on it.
Here's the problem, when I replace the 80gb hard drive with my old 60gb, it keeps giving me this error message, something about version 2.70 or greater, to please insert a storag disk (or was it storage medium) that contained this version or greater and then hit start and select at the same time. The thing is, I already had firmware 2.80 on my old system before it crapped out on me. There's no reason why it should be thinking I don't have an up to date version. Does anyone have any suggestions as to just how I could possibly fix this?
