Right now... I'm talking years down the line. I remember when all AVRs were selling for over retail just a year or two ago... I know because I spent 1k on a refurb 7100... then the RZ50 went back in stock and I got that for the original retail price (not the inflated price, which is now reduced back to the original price). I also bought a refurb 3700 for like a stack... and then just a week ago I got a deal on the 6700 for under $1,500.
I didn't plan on buying 4 AVRs in 2 years, but that's because I was impatient and didn't think these modern receivers would follow the traditional discount road that most electronics take because of the pandemic. Sure enough, they did, and I think this will be no different. It's all about playing the waiting game and striking once they get that final mark down.
