I liked that the box for that movie was quite prominent on the shelf by the TV in the research station.

[Show spoiler] polar bear that had the exact same markings & missing eye as Foster's stuffed toy?
Really enjoyed most of episode 1. The sex scenes seemed a bit unnecessary, & the 'interpretive dance' bit was like something David Lynch would have thrown into an episode of Twin Peaks for no particular reason. Also, if you lived in a place where the temperature is always going to be way below zero, would you really have metal piercings in your face?
Other than that, great stuff. Foster was excellent as usual, it's always nice to see John Hawkes get more work, the mystery was intriguing, & the look of the whole thing was just awesome. The outside scenes felt otherworldly & the bits in the empty research station were all quite ominous.
Looking forward to the rest of it.
