Wow, this thread grew in a day! I haven't read it all yet, but I thought I'd let you guys know that the DS9 episode is an HD upconversion from the SD master... So it still doesn't show any hope of TNG or DS9 on Blu-Ray...

The first TOS season looks perfect, as well as KHAN. I'm not too sure about the rest... the first movie looks very very good (not restored anyway), but the last 4 kinda suck. IMHO.
Why is Paramount doing that? Rushed releases?

Keep in mind that Paramount isn't directly involved with the TOS releases. That's being handled by CBS. So the workflow of the feature films is not affected by the TOS releases, and vice-versa...
